Meet our Maker Coordinator, Simone Torreon!
Simone is the Maker Coordinator of the high school Center of Innovation at Singapore American School. She supervises the work space and helps students with 3D printers, laser cutter machines, etc. She also works with students in Catalyst, Robotics, Engineering Science and other programs/courses, be it the actual project making or simply helping to secure materials or finding a place to work. She has a degree in Biology and Special Education and the decade of working in information technology with multinational companies helped her in the challenging world of innovation and making.
In her free time, Simone enjoys watching movies and documentaries, playing tennis (big fan of Williams sisters) and reading (loves D. Steel, S. Sheldon and J. Grisham).
