AT Research and Catalyst Senior Yash Talekar, studied how wood shavings impact steel reinforced concrete in the context of the growing construction industry. Yash tested this through controlled experimentation which quantitatively measured the maximum force that varying levels of wood shaving content could sustain.
Yash's experiment found that steel reinforced concrete containing any level of wood shavings had lower compressive and flexural strength, contrary to his original hypothesis.
Feel free to join Yash's presentation on Tuesday, April 23rd, from 10:20-10:50.
